just got back from meeting.
the study today was as expected.
a combination of simple acceptance, formulaic research and mistakes.. there are clearly many who cannot read a reference (to the wt 95) regarding the sheep and the goats and consider the repetition of the the understanding of the timing of the judging as new light.
Our WT Overseer told everyone straight away that it was going to be a difficult WT for some, but don't worry, all the answers were in the paragraphs so they didn't have to concern themselves about giving their own answers - just read it as it is printed and it would be the right answer!
One long serving brother pointed out that the "chosen ones" included the other sheep!!! The following paragraph contradicted his point of view!

The box on page 24 uses a quote from a scholar in "apostate Christendom" as its solitary "proof" that Jesus was only speaking hypothetically about an evil slave.
"Jesus warned about an evil slave who concludes in his heart that the master is delaying and who starts to beat his fellow slaves. When the master arrives, said Jesus, he will punish that evil slave “with the greatest severity.”—ReadMatthew 24:48-51. Was Jesus foretelling that there would be an evil slave class in the last days? No."
On that basis, we can rip out the above Scriptures from our Bibles, which read -
“But if ever that evil slave should say in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and should start to beat his fellow slaves and should eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his part with the hypocrites. There is where [his] weeping and the gnashing of [his] teeth will be."
Everything said here must also be hypothetical, therefore Jesus wasted a lot of breath warning his followers about something which was essentially a figment of his imagination, and would never happen!
Isn't it comforting to know that the good slave is real, but the evil slave is just an illusion? How could dumpkopfs such as us ever understand Bible truths like this without the insight of the "inspired" writing committee?

I took the opportunity to record my (anonymous) telephone call to London Bethel when I requested an explanation as to why the Organization was consorting with the OSCE. It was an eye-opener to hear Paul Gillies wriggling and squirming like a politician, trying to avoid answering the question directly.
The upshot was, that when I revealed his evasive answers to my own Witness sister, she cut me off and has not spoken to me for about a year. The truth hurts - and when more truths are revealed, a helluva lot of brothers and sisters are going to be in a state of shock.
Just a little addition; at a recent D/C Paul Gillies described the July 15th 2013 Watchtower as "a landmark edition". I agree 100% with his conclusion, but for very different reasons!

i would like to say i big well done to jwstruggle for his consistent battle against the wt .this video is worth watching ,as the baptism issue is i think one of the greatest issues today in the jw deceptions of their flock .it shows also that these guys are not interested in listening or changing one thing about their doctrines or policies .they are happy to carry on disfellowshiping people for as long as it takes to silence the opposition .thousand of families will in effect break down.

why is it fitting that the faithful slave be made up of anointed christians?.
Just point them in the direction of the GBs words in the Sept. 2007 Kingdom Ministry. Then ask them if they are prepared to discuss/debate doctrines with you, thereby risking serious disciplinary measures by going against the "direction" of the FDS!
